Canary Island Date Palm. Big heavy-trunked plant to 60 ft. tall, with a 50 ft. spread. slow growing until it forms a trunk, then spreads up a little. young plants do well i post for many years, looking something like pineapples. Grow on slopes in parks, big space, along wide streets; not for small city lots. Hardy at 20 degrees.
