October Newsletter

Now that fall season is officially underway, T-Y Nursery is using October to focus on fall favorite gardening plants.

Ornamental Grasses
The many positive traits of this genre become apparent in the months of October and November more than any other time of year. Any of the good wholesale nurseries in Los Angeles will tell you that when most landscapes are not looking their best after the scorching hot summer, ornamental grasses start setting out their attractive, yet delicate, plumes, and they last through the fall and early winter. These seed-set plumes, largely considered ornamental for us humans, are in fact a significant food source for many birds preparing for winter. With the rising interest of attracting birds and other fauna to one’s outdoor space, this is something plant wholesalers cannot ignore.

A landscape dominated by shrubs, trees and leafy groundcover can benefit greatly by incorporating the soft tones and textures of ornamental grasses prepared in our plant nursery. I am pleased to finally be able to showcase our crops of Muhlenbergia capillaris at their peak. The smoky pink plumes just started popping up this week, so by this weekend they will be in full color. Order plenty – these will sell out fast from our wholesale nursery.

Autumn Sage
When considering a plant to sport for the fall season, Autumn Sage should be at the top of any list made by a nursery business. Even though they are not considered a “true” Autumn Sage, our crop of Hot Lips are so beautiful this year, we wanted to showcase them this month.

Check out the pictures below to see what other colors are looking prime at our tree nursery, and keep us in mind for all of your nursery equipment, as well as your wholesale plant and wholesale tree needs.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if y’all have any questions. We hope you are all having a great fall season so far and look forward to hearing from you. Cheers!
