"T-Y Nursery's generous partnership with Sharefest over the years is one we value greatly. They are an invaluable support of our vision to bring about collaboration and partnerships to better the community in which we live. The people of T-Y are both kind and easy to work with!"
-Victory Ludwig, Sharefest Community Development Program Administrator
"T-Y Nursery has been a kind and generous supporter of Towers Elementary School for many years. In the 2007-08 school year, T-Y Nursery worked with Sharefest to help beautify Towers when we were going through the California Distinguished Schools process. T-Y Nursery provided a variety of flowers and plants to the school, such as palm trees, fichus trees, star jasmine plants, and other mixed shrubs and flowers. In addition to being a partner with Sharefest, T-Y Nursery supports our local Girl Scouts organizations. Our Girl Scout troops received donated flowers from T-Y Nursery and planted them throughout our school campus as part of their community service credit. Recently, T-Y Nursery donated $1,000 to support our Technology for Towers fundraiser. T-Y Nursery is a friend and partner of Towers Elementary School and has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make Towers a better place for our students and community."
-Kaivan Yuen, Ed.D. Towers Elementary School Principal
"My name is Mike Turner and I am the Day Custodian at Towers Elementary in Torrance. I also attend Kings Harbor Church.
For years, Sharefest has been an exciting time to me. It's a time I believe we can share and show Christ's love through true action.
T-Y Nursery has for many years been active in Sharefest, not only during the time of Sharefest, but year-round.
Four years ago, when Towers Elementary was seeking an award called California Distinguished Award, T-Y was approached to see if they could help. We needed to beautify our school and T-Y was there. They not only donated thousands of dollars in plants and trees, they also sent a crew in to plant it.
Since then they have made several donations to Towers.
In April, I approached T-Y again asking for a cash donation. We were trying to raise $20,000 to redo our technology lab. It was about ten years old and hard for our students to keep up. T-Y came through with a $1,000 donation.
I know this year they are planting fruit trees at Gardena High for Sharefest.
T-Y nursery has been a wonderful friend of Towers Elementary School. They have been a quiet partner in touching lives of our children for many years to come. The kids may never know what T-Y Nursery has done, but we all know the Lord is smiling upon them.
May God bless T-Y Nursery."
-Mike Turner, Towers Elementary School
"We are so thankful to have TY Nursery as our neighbor and community partner! TY has been so generous with donating countless plants, trees and even labor as we have made many improvements to our campus. Most recently, an exciting new garden was installed including an "orchard" in partnership with TY Nursery and Sharefest! TY also generously donated funds in support of our "Technology for Towers" drive to refurbish our outdated computer lab on campus. As a resident, PTA board member and Sharefest volunteer we are certainly blessed to have TY Nursery on our team!"
-Laura Brandt, Towers Elementary School Project
